1. Who we are and what this is

Adorify is a mobile app made by Motech Software LLC, San Diego, CA, USA ("Adorify", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Adorify, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Adorify is an AI-powered entertainment app. You choose a professionally produced template video, add a photo, and Adorify uses AI and animation technology to create a short personalised video. The app also lets you save and delete your videos, share them to other platforms, favourite templates, manage your account, buy and use coins, and take part in referral and sharing rewards. Features, prices, coin costs and rewards may change, be suspended or be discontinued at any time.

2. Entertainment purposes only

Adorify is made for entertainment, creative expression, humour and similar lawful uses.

AI-generated content is fictional. It may be altered, unrealistic or inaccurate, and it can mislead someone who takes it as a recording of a real event. A video made with Adorify is not evidence that the person shown actually said, did, approved of or experienced what appears in it.

You are responsible for the context in which you use or share what you create, and for making clear that a video is AI-generated whenever leaving that out could mislead someone.

3. Who can use Adorify

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has read these Terms, agreed to them on your behalf, and consented to Adorify processing your face data. In the European Economic Area you must be at least 16, unless your country's law allows a lower age with a parent's consent. You must also be able to enter into a contract where you live, and you may not use Adorify if we have previously banned you.

4. Your account

  • Creating an account requires a working phone number, which we verify by SMS. One account per verified phone number.

  • Keep control of your phone number and device. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

  • Do not create multiple accounts, use virtual or disposable numbers, or otherwise try to get around our verification, in particular to collect free coins. We may refuse, suspend or close accounts that do.

5. Coins

Adorify runs on coins. 1 coin = 1 video.

  • Getting coins. New accounts get free coins. You can buy coin packs from inside the app, subscribe to Adorify Plus for a monthly allowance of coins, or earn coins through the referral and sharing rewards described in the app.

  • Coins are not money. Coins are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use our video generation service. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, sold, transferred, or used outside Adorify.

  • Using coins. Generating a video costs 1 coin, deducted when generation starts. If a generation fails, we do not charge you — the coin is returned automatically.

  • How you pay. You start a purchase in the app. Depending on your device and where you live, it is completed in one of two ways:

    • through Apple's or Google's in-app purchase system, in which case Apple or Google is the seller; or

    • on a secure Stripe checkout page that opens in your browser, in which case we are the seller. Stripe receives your card details directly; we never see your full card number. Coins are added to your account as soon as the payment is confirmed.

  • Refunds. Where Apple or Google took the payment, their refund rules apply — ask them, not us. Where we took the payment through Stripe, the purchase is final once the coins are added to your account, except where the law gives you a right to cancel (see the next point) or where the coins could not be delivered.

  • Payments made through Apple, Google or Stripe are also subject to that provider's terms, billing policies and refund requirements. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or consumer-protection right that cannot legally be waived.

  • Adorify Plus. Billed monthly until you cancel. Cancel any time in the app, or through your Apple or Google account if that is how you subscribed; you keep the benefits until the end of the period you paid for. Unused monthly coins roll over.

  • Earned coins. Rewards for referrals and sharing are granted when the conditions shown in the app are met. We can withhold or reverse rewards obtained by fraud, fake accounts, bots, or other abuse.

  • Changes. We may change coin prices, pack sizes and reward amounts going forward. Coins already in your account keep their value in videos.

  • Expiry. Coins do not expire. They remain in your account for as long as your account exists. If your account is closed for breaking these Terms, unused coins are forfeited.

6. The photos you upload

You are solely responsible for the photos and other material you upload. By uploading, you represent and warrant that you have all rights, permissions, licences and consents needed to use that material and to let Adorify process it for the feature you asked for. If your photo shows another identifiable person, you are responsible for obtaining any permission the law where you live requires.

You keep ownership of the content you upload. By submitting it, you grant Motech Software LLC a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, process, modify, transform and transmit it as reasonably necessary to operate the service, generate the video you asked for, keep the service secure, and provide related functionality. This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

We never use your photos or videos to train AI models, and we never share them with other users or sell them.

By uploading a photo you confirm that:

  • it is a photo of you, or of someone who has given you permission to use their picture this way;

  • you have the right to use it, and it doesn't break anyone's copyright;

  • it does not show a child in a sexual, degrading or otherwise harmful context, and where a child appears, you have the permission of that child's parent or guardian;

  • it is not a photo of a public figure or celebrity used to suggest they said or did something they didn't.

7. What you may not do

Do not use Adorify to:

  • harass, bully, threaten, humiliate, stalk or deceive anyone;

  • make sexual, violent, hateful or degrading content, or anything involving minors in that context;

  • impersonate a real person, or create content that could be taken as real footage of them ("deepfakes") for deception, fraud, political manipulation or defamation;

  • break the law, infringe copyright, or violate someone's privacy or likeness rights;

  • extract, scrape, copy or resell our template videos, music or any other part of the service;

  • reverse engineer the app, attack our systems, or try to bypass coin, verification or rate limits;

  • use Adorify for fraud, extortion or blackmail;

  • facilitate identity theft or other criminal activity;

  • discriminate against someone unlawfully;

  • falsely claim that a real person endorsed a product, service, political position or commercial activity.

We can remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we report unlawful content to the authorities where the law requires it.

8. Our content

The template videos, performances, music, artwork, software and the Adorify name and logo belong to us or our licensors.

The video you generate is for your personal, non-commercial use: send it, post it on your own social accounts, keep it. You may not sell it, use it in advertising, or use it to promote a business or a product without our written permission.

The videos you generate have no watermark. The only exception is the Instagram sharing reward: if you choose to share a video to your Instagram Story to earn reward coin, the app creates a copy of that video carrying a short line of text and the Adorify logo, and it is that branded copy you share. You may not remove, crop, cover or otherwise obscure the text or logo, and we may withhold or reverse the reward if you do.

9. Public figures and endorsement

Adorify may show photographs, illustrations, examples, templates or references that depict or refer to recognisable people, including public figures and performers.

Unless we say otherwise, the appearance of any person in Adorify does not mean that they created, operate, sponsor, endorse, recommend or approved Adorify, that they took part in making it, or that they have any business, employment or other relationship with Motech Software LLC. Such material is used for entertainment, illustration or demonstration only.

You must not state or imply that an identifiable person endorsed, approved, took part in or authorised content you created when that is not true. Nothing in the app gives you any right to another person's name, image, likeness, voice, trademark or other intellectual property or personality rights.

10. Sharing your videos

Adorify lets you save your videos and share them to Instagram and other platforms.

You are responsible for what you publish or share and for following the rules of the platform you share it on. The existence of a sharing feature does not mean we approve or endorse what you share with it.

Once a video leaves Adorify, we may have no way to control, retrieve, change or delete copies of it.

11. Availability and changes

Adorify is pre-launch and evolving. We may add, change or remove templates, vibes and features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. We will try to give notice of significant changes. Your photos and videos are kept for 90 days, and deleting a video also deletes the photo it was made from — save what you want to keep. We are not responsible for content you didn't save.

12. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in the app, or at motech.software/delete-account. When you delete your account, your account information, your content and any unused coins are deleted or forfeited, except where we must keep limited records for legal reasons, in backups, or for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and anti-abuse purposes.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if we must for legal reasons — including suspected fraud, abuse or security threats — or if we stop offering the service, in which case we will give you reasonable notice where we can. Unused coins are not refunded in cash.

13. Third-party services

Adorify relies on third-party products and services, including Google Cloud and Firebase for hosting, storage, account sign-in and SMS verification, Stripe for payments, Apple and Google for app distribution and in-app purchases, and Instagram and other platforms you choose to share to.

These services are operated independently and have their own terms and privacy policies. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for their availability, operation, security, content, policies, acts or omissions.

14. Disclaimers

Adorify is provided "as is" and "as available".

AI systems are probabilistic, so results can be unexpected, unrealistic, incomplete or simply not what you hoped for. We do not guarantee that a particular generation will succeed, that a video will be unique, or that similar content will not be generated for someone else. Review what you create before you download, publish, share or rely on it.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability and reliability. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

You use Adorify voluntarily. To the fullest extent the law allows, you are responsible for how you use the app and for your decisions to create, download, publish, distribute or rely on the videos you make with it. We do not take responsibility for consequences arising from unlawful, unauthorised, deceptive or otherwise improper use of uploaded or generated content.

Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Motech Software LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of, or inability to use, Adorify. This includes damages arising from user-generated or AI-generated content, loss of data, loss of profits, harm to reputation, the conduct of third parties, or content created, published or shared by users.

Our total liability arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Motech Software LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees and contractors from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, content you upload or distribute, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be heard by the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California. You and we both consent to those courts.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Adorify after that means you accept the new Terms.
